“Mary [Patterson] Rader was born in Lambton County, November 17, 1915, the seventh child of a family of eight. She attended Grand Bend Public School, Parkhill High School, Sarnia Collegiate Insitute and London Normal School. She taught school at S.S. No. 8 Hay. She was married July 6, 1938 to Irvin Rader of Dashwood where she has lived since. They had six children (one deceased). Irvin died November 19, 1984. Mary has been correspondent for the Exeter Times Advocate and Zurich paper for thirty-two years. She enjoys both reading and writing.”
