Former Small Dam Site In Community Park

(below) Remnants of a former small poured concrete dam at the site are still easily visible. The frozen surface it provided during the winter months offered the community a handy opportunity for winter sports in the 1940’s and 50’s . The dam’s origins are unknown to me; perhaps rudimentary flood control or a connection to the Fred Baker sawmill, once situated nearby?
