“Noah Fried ran the grist mill until he built and moved to what is now Schroeder’s bean mill. [Ed. note: Noah Fried’s original mill was located on Fried Street, in an area referred to as the “mill reserve”.] This mill was sold to Jacob and George Kellerman, Jonas Hartlieb, Christian Walper (grand-father of the present Reeve of Stephen, Allan Walper) and Joe White, John Eidt, Bill Elhers, J. Kellerman, Reid and Schroeder.”
