(below) A portion of the rear part of John Becker’s barn visible in this image, was initially a part of the frame construction Zion Lutheran Church; built circa 1873, when the congregation first moved into the village from its former location north of the community on Bronson Line. It is presumed to have been moved to this site, from further west on Frederick Street, in circa 1907-1908, when the new brick church replaced the older wood building. (Rader; pg. 17)
